Since Natural Family Planning does not in any way interfere with the body's natural functioning, it is entirely safe to use and has no side-effects.

Every drug or medical device has potential side effects and should be taken only when necessary to cure or relieve an illness, etc.

But fertility is a normal process, not a disease, and attacking this process leads to problems.

Birth control pills and implants are unnecessary drugs, with long lists of health-related side effects: some physicians have linked spermicides with birth defects.
