About CCL-GB

The Couple to Couple League was founded in the USA in 1971 to provide information about modern NFP to married and engaged couples. Grounded in the Catholic Church, it works through a network of volunteer couples.

CCL came to the UK in 1980. Whilst the conditions in the UK do differ from those in the USA, with a less active and less affluent Catholic Church and the 'competition' of NHS Family Planning Services free at the point of delivery, teaching has continued here ever since then.

In 2007/8, our teaching methodolgy was completely revised, leading to a need for full re-training. This led some teachers to retire, and a need for new volunteers. Whilst our teaching couple numbers are currently down, we remain able and keen to teach couples as required.
